| If you are really worried you can remove the top driver-side timing belt cover to inspect the timing belt for any obvious damage or cracking. This will require you rotating the crank to inspect all of the belt or have a helper bump the ignition. Your belt will likely look to be in good shape and you won’t have to worry about it. Why don't you do the 60k yourself? Gary :Its a 2 hour drive from where I live and I was wondering what should I look out for. Im going for a timing belt change that is well overdue. What are the precautions I should take...I know that 2 hours of drive is not that big of a deal but I don't want to risk anything. lol I even considered taping the font of the car with blue painters tape so that rocks won't chip the paint. TwinTurbo.net has made me crazy about this car. Thanks.
